Franken done with radio, spotted applying at Wal-Mart

Al Franken announced yesterday that he's leaving behind his radio show on Air America. Does that mean he will run for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota next year?

I hope he doesn't because we all know that politicians from an entertainment (albeit full of bit roles and failure) background never succeed. Unless you count Jesse Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono or Ronal Reagan. Beyond those, entertainers suck when it comes to politics.

Hell, if he's best remembered for an SNL cameo on a Weekend Update segment two years ago with a satellite dish taped to his head, that speaks volumes about America's most unfunny funny Jew. Please, Al, don't disgrace yourself and show your true ineptitude by allowing a Democrat or, save us all if you should get nominated, Norm Coleman from dredging up samples of your shitty acting only to use it against you. Retire peacefully and gracefully and keep on writing books because someone (not sure who) is actually buying them.

I know Minnesota has a track record for being a little more open minded than some other states, but I can't see a guy like that running and winning there.

Good morning Brian. Just wanted to say hello. Thanks for visiting my blog while I was away at the 8 day Intensive in northern California.

The 4 entertainment politicians yo mentioned certainly have a shall we say, interesting, track record ???

I loved Jesse Ventura myself. Called it like he saw it...

I think Arnold would have liked to do the same... But eventually politics squashes all of your dreams of truly implementing meaningful change...

Blessings.

Hey,

I actually liked Jesse Ventura as well and didnt think he did a worse job than most politicians. And Franken - LOVE him. He is a better writer than speaker, but he is very intelligent. His books have me in tears. He was better known as a writer for SNL than for his acting in the skits.

Stay warm up there!

In the off chance no one understands my comments above, Al used to do a bit on SNL where he said, "It's all about me, Al Franken." I just wanted to clarify.
