As a challenge to the 3.75 readers here, I would like you to submit your best home-brewed alcoholic beverage recipe. Let your inner bartender run free. Break down the recipe, give it a name.
Would a suburban stay-at-home
soccer mom trophy wife/
cougar in the nearest metro area's
most affluent suburb pound a few of these down, taunt Pedro the poolboy and take him passionately and skankily in the back seat of her Jaguar XJ7 and have her way with sweaty and muscly Pedro? If that's the case, give the cocktail a clever name and explain it. For example, The Edina Eagle; one part
Jagermeister, one part Red Bull and a Dexatrim capsule opened and deposited in said drink. Its name is such because it will leave Back Seat Belinda spread eagle...
Now with that visual in your head, go nuts...

You're funny. :)
Mom and Dad have been making a drink for years that is a twist on the screw driver. They take the orange juice (but they use 5-Alive)and vodka, then add a bit of Amaretto and call it an Italian Screw. Usually served with Sunday Brunch.
On Sunday mornings, Mom will say to me, "Teri, you want an Italian Screw?" And I will say, "Oh Mom, can't I have a Mexican or a Canadian today?"
I'm not a drinker, so I don't have a homemade alcoholic beverage. But I do make my own homemade booze -- take one pitcher of orange juice (or the juice of your choice) and leave it in the refrigerator for six months.
Perfect!!! Anything is better than Air Supply, no?
Pomagranite Juice, Stoly Vodka iced, contreu (sp) and triple sec.

commaqasi shooters - vodka, triple sec and roses lime juice(must be roses)put into the freezer overnight. These are our poolparty drinks besides pina coladas

I did notice I'm on the cool blog list now...do I still need to comment to maintain my cool status?
Ooh, I've got one. I made up this thing by accident that is just awesome. It's similar to a mudslide, I guess.
- 1/3 Carrollon's Irish Cream (we like it better than Bailey's)
- 2/3 Milk
- About 4 teaspoons of some Hershey's Java iced coffee stuff (like Hershey's syrup, but coffee flavored)
- A splash of Vanilla Vodka
It's better in the winter, though.
wooo..sorry again...I was supposed to give a recipe for a homemade drink...I know I'm going to get my blog removed from the list..I just know it.
3 Olives cherry vodka, fresh lime juice, simple syrup (just alittle),and club soda. Garnish w/fresh dark sweet cherry and mint.
holy crap!! this one got some hits! i usually just drink plain water or coffee- and if i do imbibe- it's a glass of wine. so i am kinda boring.
The "Black Tornado" 3 parts prune juice, 1 part vodka. Get drunk, crap your pants....
Do most people have home-made recipes? Psh. I don't. Closest thing to home-made that I have is something I've taken from a recipe card.
Does that count?
Hello?
Keep the recipes and drink names coming. I'm going "camping" next week and I'll be damned if I'm going to drink Busch Light.
