It's something, but not quite 15 inches

By the grace of God, we weathered what was being billed for the greater Twin Cities, Minnesota area as the storm of the century (mainly due to the fact that it hasn't snowed much 'round these parts in the past seven years.). Sure, it got a bit sketchy and we might look back some day and regret burning our furniture to stay warm but we are happy to be alive this afternoon.

We even braved the elements here in the windswept tundra to snap pictures of the storm's progress. As the first flakes fell late Friday evening, I knew this was the big one, I could feel it in my bones.

A true seven inches of snow. Just under half of what was expected but totals do vary. This was taken on the patio in our back yard but the snow seemed deeper in the front yard and was closer to a full foot. Take it for what it's worth.

I live in New Brighton. We got an entire foot of snow. Buh. I don't get out of bed for anything less than 18 inches these days.
