The most important question ever?

We've all heard the most important of questions asked. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? We could debate over that hum-dinger all damn day if we actuall wanted to. It could be a matter of evolution versus creationism. It could be a matter of scientific experimentation to carbon date both and determine which is older.

Or we could focus on something important. Which tastes better?

The only way I'll eat eggs all by their lonesome is to have them scrambled or poached. My old lady (I ran it by her, she said it's okay to call her such) prefers her eggs "cooked" sunny side up with a nice, runny yolk. After 7+ years of trying to make these at home, I've failed each and every time and have determined that the local diner or Perkins is just the ticket for these.

As for chicken, I love it baked, fried-baked, grilled, BBQ'd, smoked, pulled, shredded, fried, nuggetized, stripped... hell, pretty much anything but wings. I don't like to do a lot of work for my chicken but an entire chicken thrown on the smoker and shredded. Delish.

So, in your eyes, which came forst or which tastes better? Which is more versatile?

No chicken or eggs at MinnPics, it's just the finest in photos from Minnesota photographers!

Mmmm, I love me some chicken.
But I couldn't make my "slap yo momma" chocolate chip cookies without eggs.

Eggs are much more versatile. Without eggs there's be no cake. A world without cake would be a very sad place. Who'd eat chicken cake?

Clearly, chicken is way better than eggs. I don't even know why this is a question. Eggs are OK. Chicken -- totally awesome.

And I'd also be remiss if I didn't give you a much belated congrats on the upcoming child!!!! (And sorry that it didn't come earlier.)

Good luck! Get that nose ready for diaper fillings!

I like both. Of course, I do a lot of baking, so I agree with Marie that eggs are important.

I love chicken cooked any way possible. It's much more veratile than any other meat.

Eggs. I buy eggs from a woman down the road. Her chickens have free run of the farm and produce the best tasting eggs I've ever had. Factory farm eggs from most groceries can not compare.

Chicken is more versatile but to be honest, I like eggs better.

Scrambled with cheeeeeeese!

Ok, maybe eggs are more versatile. Hell, I don't cook that much so the other comments carry more weight.

But, I still like eggs better.

Hmm. I get moody about food sometimes. I like either hot wings (the drumstick part) or regular drumsticks. Anything else, not so much unless it's heavily sauced, flavorful and not overcooked.

Eggs, softboiled or scrambled is about it but I can usually only tolerate one.

Reading this I can see why my poor hubby goes nuts trying to cook for me! Poor guy. I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass, honest.
